Tips for Repairing iPhones
As you may be aware, I also open other things, but in this post I would like to share my experiences opening an iPhone, including what to do and what not to do.

Before we get started, let me make it clear that these are small nuances that could seem funny and silly at first, but believe me, that’s where the trouble lies.
Self-Aware
If you are good at mending things but have never opened an iPhone before, go ahead and try. But be careful to adhere to the instructions.
Additionally, you may want to begin using an old device as a test run. Similar to babies, you can be reluctant to use new devices since they are perceived as more precious.
Because everyone makes errors, you might still want to follow the instructions even if you have self-healing expertise. especially when we exaggerate how confident we are. There is no drawback to spending a little more time.
Takeaway: follow the instructions.
Be patient.
I can’t stress this enough! You have to be patient when unlocking your iPhone. You run the danger of destroying anything if you move hastily because it’s a little device with delicate internal circuitry, which would delay repairs and raise prices.
Takeaway: Be patient
Buy only from reliable suppliers.
Everywhere you look, you can see iPhones. Their spare parts are therefore generally accessible. However, not every spare component is created equal.
If you fall for the ploy, you’ll likely regret buying the cheap spare part. Maybe your:
The battery could heat up (I experienced this).
Batteries might explode (fortunately, I was not affected).
Because the screen did not fit exactly, it was a pain in the ass.
The screen’s color profile will be incorrect.
It was annoying because the glass can break out after a few falls due to the screen’s bad assembly.
…
Therefore, avoid being cheap or listening to what other merchants have to say, and only pick parts from reputable providers. The only trustworthy suppliers that I am aware of are iFixit and eTradeSupply.
I pick iFixit because, in addition to their excellent quality, they provide logistics that are far less expensive.
The lesson is to not be cheap.
Attend to the Screws
Again, the iPhone is a very little device. Consequently, their screws are also. Therefore, when trying to drive the screwdriver into a screw, proceed with caution.
If you only open your iPhone once, you won’t notice anything, but if you have the same model repaired several times, you could discover that some of the screws have been stuck since the placement of the screws has been damaged.
Therefore, before continuing, carefully put the screwdriver into the screw. It might seem like a childish suggestion, but trust me, it will make sense.
Takeaway: Screw gently
Don’t Use Glue
This one is specifically for battery replacement. Yes, that ironic detail once more: iPhones are tiny devices with millimeter-level precision. For this reason, they are difficult to make. You know, they’ve got everything covered since they’re Apple. But when you take things into your own hands, you have to handle this alone.
You could or might not find yourself in the predicament I was in below if you use glue to hold your new battery in place when changing your old one.
The glue does not spread uniformly, so when it dries, it is thicker than the battery strip you should be using. As a result, you will surely be annoyed with a screen that is a little high on the left.
Thus, purchase the reliable battery strips in addition to your new battery.
Use battery strips rather than adhesive as a takeaway.
This is Attend to the Strips
As I just mentioned, use battery strips when changing your batteries.
However, as a precaution, be careful when applying the strips. They are given a certain level of tension, and they will simply coil up and lose their usefulness if you take them from their container carelessly.
As a result,
Just take off the packet on one side.
Place them on the battery’s corresponding side.
The remaining wrapping should be carefully and gently removed.
No Battery Changes During the Winter
As far as I’m concerned, I would advise against changing your batteries during the cold winter months.
The reasoning is simple: your battery will be exposed to the weather for long periods of time during delivery, which will degrade its performance. Therefore, the battery’s performance has already decreased even though you will be starting with a brand-new one.
Even if there isn’t much deterioration and you can’t tell where your cells came from on colder days, I would still consider it a wise precaution.
The lesson is to never change your batteries in the middle of the night.
To sum up
Well, there they are. I’ve tried to share with you the lessons I’ve learned from my mistakes throughout the years.
The issue is that, in iFixit’s opinion, repair is commendable. You will ultimately arrive at your target, even if you can and will make mistakes along the way.
